There is no minimum amount of exercise that is required to lose weight on the diet, however exercising will help you to lose weight faster and keep it off in the long term. During the initial Cruise phase it is recommended that you exercise 20 minutes a day with something as simple as brisk walk. As you progress on the diet you can up your exercise daily as much as you want.
